We’re all volunteers.
And happy ones, at that. We believe in having fun while we do the important work of finding, selecting, and screening the best GLBTQ films available. We have a “working” Board of Directors and then many other volunteers who help out from time to time as they can – everything from taking tickets to web design to suggesting program ideas and helping with the after-film snack-and-chat, Bent Lens Salon.
Tell us how you would like to participate and we’ll do our best to find the right fit for you.
Whatever level of commitment you feel ready to explore with us, we welcome and appreciate your interest and help. Here are some of the ways you can join our “Team Bent Lens”:
-
Assist on program nights by taking tickets and handing out printed programs -
Help coordinate our after-film salon, or help with set-up and clean-up -
Write press releases and/or help us keep track of media calendars and deadlines -
Research and help write grant applications -
Coordinate volunteers and build a solid database -
Develop distinct program components.
There are more ways you can volunteer. These are just some possibilities. We are open to your ideas, especially in new areas of expertise.
If you would like to talk with us about volunteering, please write to us at volunteer@bentlens.org.
See you at the movies!
